WILLIAM H. BARKER
William H. BARKER, 61, of Ripley, WV, died Tuesday, Jan. 17, 1989, near Ripley as a result of drowning.
He was born in Ritchie County, WV, a son of Blanche HAYNES of Ripley. He was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific, and was employed as an off-shore oil well driller in the Gulf of Mexico. He was a member of Ripley VFW Post #5501.
Also surviving is a brother, Robert A. BARKER of Ripley.
Services were held at the Raiguel Funeral Home, Harrisville, WV, with the Rev. Franklin R. Lambert officiating. Burial was in Victory Ridge Cemetery.
