My grandfather was Lee Boyd of Boomer WV.
The man who owned the Mystery Hole http://www.mysteryhole.com/
had known him growing up and I believe fought in WWI with him.
Lee was known to sit at Annies general store and tell stories to the children. Sitting on his lap there by the pot bellied stove is my only memory of him. I never saw him after I was four years old, as I was taken from the family by my mother and adoptive father.
I cannot figure out who his birth father was, as the family seems to have a lot of cross-over names.
His birth father was a Riddle, his mother died after having about seven sons. Her name seems to be Suda Boyd Riddle Arthur. Not certain if Boyd was a maiden name or first marriage. Dont know if she was the biological or adoptive mother. The boys were all farmed out to other families. Lee and Harold went to the Boyd family. The string of others is lost.
I would like to put the missing pieces together and figure out the genetics and find the lost boys.
This is from Lees obit as siblings, but only Harold was biological from what I know. But it seems the Arthurs might be too...so confused!
Harold Riddle Boyd 4-26-1908 to 8-23-1968
Lee Riddle Boyd
Rose Arthur Belps
Edward Arthur 8-5-1918 to 12-27-1976
Patrick Arthur 2-28-1922 to 10-30-1932
Lee had daughters and sons, Richard, Larry (my father), and several others.
Any leads appreciated!
