Mrs. Violet Jordan, Adams, succumbed Friday, March 29, at about 5 p.m. at the Adams County Memorial Hospital, following a heart attack about a week ago.

Funeral services were held Sunday, March 31, at 1 p.m. at the Roseberry's Funeral Home, with Rev. Wendell Bennetts officiating. Interment was made in Mt. Repose cemetery.

Mrs. Jordan was born in Adams County, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Wilson. Sam Stevens whom she married in 1899, preceded her in death. William Jordan, whom she married in 1921, died in 1936.

Seven children survive; Mrs. Mable Bernard, Chicago; Mrs. Eva Ramsey, Belvidere, Ill.; Mrs. Thelma Ringner, Berlin; Elmer Stevens, Rockford, Ill.; Freeman Stevens, Chicago; Sam Stevens, Berwyn, Ill.; Raymond Jordan, Daluth, Minn.; also 23 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
