Mystery of the missing ELSIE J GREEN. Daughter of Mathew H. GREEN and Amelia FORD. Elsie married Rev. Seth Dana BARDEN on 31 May 1890 at New Haven, Dunn, WI. but disappeared from ALL record shortly thereafter. It is assumed she probably died circa late 1891 of childbirth complications. No record of a birth (but child thought to be Lois - female). No info on death or burial of either. Rev Seth BARDEN noted marrying again on December 25, 1894 at Prairie Farm, BARRON County, WI. Rev Seth assigned to Fennimore, Grant, WI circa 1891. He was later assigned ministries at Turtle Lake, BARRON, WI and later at Island Lake, Rusk, WI. The second wife Minnie Ann FRENCH was a career Wisconsin school teacher. She completed her training at New Haven/Connorsville, Dunn County WI. Later residing in
BLOOMER, WI --- Boyceville, WI and Bruce, WI. By about 1910 and later Rev Seth is located in Danbury, WI until his death about 1932. It is thought he is buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Superior, Douglas, WI. A brother, Franklin M. BARDEN and sister Mary C. & Edmund A. CLARK also thought to have removed from Dunn, WI to Danbury, Burnett, WI. Names HORACE and HARRY also. Any information on this family greatly appreciated. Thanks. Don BARDEN
