HERBERT INGLEBERT SHOT DOWN HIS WIFE IN COLD BLOOD LAST SUNDAY
Herbert Inglebert of Cumberland shot and killed his wife Sunday forenoon while the other members of the family with the exception of the baby, were at Sunday school. The woman was shot four times with a large caliber revolver, once in the arm, twice in the body, and once above the left eye, and died instantly.
Inglebert it is said shot his wife because of jealousy which coupled with illness affected his mind. Since being brought to jail he has not acted like a rational being and has not told a coherent story of the shooting. He is a man about 48 years old and was a star route carrier from Cumberland to Andrus. According to hearsay Inglebert purchased the revolver he killed his wife with last Friday. He will have his preliminary hearing before Municipal Judge Taylor Thursday.
A peculair coincidence is that Mrs. Inglebert's sister was killed some years ago by her husband under circumstances much similar. Mrs. Inglebert was twice married and is the mother of six children, the youngest being two years old. Her funeral was held Tuesday afternoon.
