More confusion, other trees say Blackbird as Electa's family tree. The only William I have found is one born 1810, Petawwanequot "William" but it shows he died in 1833 Italy. I can not find any records to substantiate his death. My William was born Sep 1811. I have tried a test of linking to another Gibson family but no DNA match ups, which would confirm the link. So I am back to square one. Garry Gibson, son of William traveled to Michigan to visit relatives several times, but none of his brothers, sisters, nieces, or nephews lived there. It would be a shame to have the heritage lost to future generations of our family. If anyone has anything to contribute I would be very grateful as I go through the process of elimination. I checked out another Amanda F Gibson but she died at the age of 2 so that eliminated her. Amanda's husband Barber Smith was born in NY, and I suspect while she was living with William, she met Barber.
