I just stumbled upon this particular post and I am very interested as well. I also am a descendant of the Larocque family, all be it way down the line. I have a Charlotte Larocque as being married to my ancestor Moses Hardwick.

Reading these posts have really gained my interest, because if what you have been saying is true, Charlotte was 1/2 Native. I know that Catherine Brunet was part native herself, but for Charlotte to be 1/2 would mean that she gets blood from the Larocque side, this interests me.

I know that Catherine Gautier (Catherine Brunet's mom) was at least 1/2, but rumor is that Catherine Brunet's father Jean Baptiste Brunet/Brunette was also of Native blood. So there may be more here than we thought. As far as my line goes it seems that Moses Hardwick who was married to Charlotte may possibly be Cherokee Descent himself, so this is all very interesting stuff.
