"... I have a Anna Schilling in my tree who was born in Germany Aug 28, 1845. She married a Joseph Starr and had at least 2 children. Frank J. Starr Sept. 2, 1873- March 19, 1905. He is buried in Milwaukee at his parents gravesite ..."

There were family death notices published in local German papers for a Frank Starr (d. 1905). There are also entries in these papers for an Annie and a Joseph, but I don't know if they're a match for your family. These are indexed in a project with the working title: "Milwaukee's German Newspapers; an index of death notices and related items" (1844-1950). There are about 40 occurrences of Starr indexed from these papers so far. There are about 130 entries for the Schilling name.
