Relatives Claim Aged Man Victim of Foul Play,

(By United Press)

Chippewa Falls, Wis. - That Conrad Barthen, 75 who was buried here today, met with foul play at Milwaukee, was the theory advanced by his relatives. The body of Barthen, who was the oldest cigar manufacturer in Chippewa Falls, was found floating in a river at Milwaukee Saturday. He had left here three weeks ago to visit his son Albert at that city. The aged man always carried considerable money on his person, but when the body was dragged from the river he had only 43 cents in his pockets. Death was caused by two deep gashes in the head.

After Conrad's deathon October 6, 1928, Elenora lived with her son Albert and his two child in Milwaukee. She died in 1933. They are both buried in Calvary Cemetery in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin.

I still do not have either of his parents names.
