I am the G-granddaughter of the John Jellings mentioned in the above obituary.

He was born in England and came to the US about 1848 settling in Indiana first then appearing in Marquette Co. around 1861 and Columbia Co. around 1875.

I can find very little information about John Jellings and have always wondered if perhaps the spelling of his name was changed when he came to the US?

Any information you may have would be appreciated.
