We are compiling a DILLEY family history and have some information on the Dilley families of Crawford County who are distantly related to my husband. Two Dilley brothers, Thompson and Edmond settled in Scott Township,Crawford County,Wisconsin by 1860. They came from Mercer County, Pennsylvania and settled first in Iowa County,Wisconsin. Their father Joseph Dilley was born in 1791 in Sussex Co., New Jersey. Joseph also lived in Trumbull County, Ohio.

I researched the Coleman families of Crawford County in the 1980s and hope to do an updated history of them soon. I am descended from Thomas Coleman through his daughter Sydney b. 1857 who married John Rogers. Their son William Roghers b.1876 is my grandfather.
Four Coleman brothers came from Allen County, Indiana to Crawford County, Wisconsin about 1855 or bought land there. Benjamin, Thomas, and John P. Coleman spent the rest of their lives there but Hiram returned to Allen Co. Ind. His daughter stayed in Wisconsin. Before Allen co. Ind. the Coleman family came from Shelby Co. Ohio and before that from Warren Co. Ohio.
