Classification: Query
Surnames: Thompson, Kaasen, Cason, Cosson, Coson
My great grandfathers brother, Ingver Kaasen, b. oct.1856, emigrated from Norway to America 1881. He married Jennie Thompson around 1883/1884, most probably in Wisconsin. They have their fist son, Raymond, b. oct. 6 1887 in Superior, county Douglas. Ingver's names have som variations to them, in different sources. Ingver/ingevar/Ingvar and Kaasen/Cason/Cosson/Coson. The family went to Duluth MN and settled there, sometimes between the birth of Raymond and their daughter Constance, b.1888 in Duluth. He dies as Ingvar Paulus Coson, in Duluth MN 1932.
I know quite a lot about the family AFTER they settled in Duluth. Ingvers history in Norway, before the emigration, is well covered. BUT, I know NOTHING about his wife Jennie Thompson. She is said to be born in Norway, with norwegian parents. I can't find her in the emigration protocols, and suspect her family may have changed their name "over there"
Does anybody have access to information concerning immigratin, marriages or other stuff in Wisconsin??
