KINGSFORD — Robert “Bob” Westman, 73, of Chapin Heights Apartments, Florence, Wis., died Monday, Dec. 10, 2001.
Bob was born Sept. 28, 1928, in Chicago, son of the late Arvid and Elizabeth (Schuirmann) Westman.
He married the former Elizabeth “Bette” Trudell on Aug. 30, 1958, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Aurora, Wis.
Bob owned and operated a farm in Homestead for many years, retiring in 1973. Following his retirement he worked as a salesman and technician for the American Breeders Service. In 1978 he returned to this area and worked for Champion Inc. Then in 1987 he and Bette bought Sweeney’s Trailer Court in Sebring, Fla., which they operated until coming back to Florence in 1996.
He was preceded in death by a stepson, Darrell Trudell, in 1967.
He leaves his wife, Bette; a stepson, Larry (Anita) Trudell of Denver, Colo.; a stepdaughter-in-law, Chris (Bernie) Klescewski of Florence, Wis.; a brother, Harold (Alice) Westman of Homestead; seven stepgrandchildren, Garrett (Danna) Trudell of Florence, Kurt (Connie) Trudell of Homestead, Steve (Donna) Trudell of Florence, Mark (Cydna) Trudell of Colorado, Cathy (Mike) Dickeson of Colorado, Sherri (Gil) Bates of California and David Trudell of Colorado and 15 stepgreat-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Kingsford Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. James Hansen will officiate.
Burial will be in the Homestead-Aurora Cemetery.
It is the family’s wish that flowers be omitted.
The Kingsford Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
