I doubt if there is that kind of connection, but nothing is beyond the realm of possibility. Quite a few Wisconsinites moved to Minnesota.
Many churches are named St.Paul.
United Church of Christ are what the name implies, churches that were united. I don't remember my church history to relay details. Before St.Paul's was UCC, it was Evangelical and Reformed. Most E&R's became UCC. I can't remember the other denominations which joined (and some churches in those denominations chose not to join).
In the late 1800s St.Paul's may have been Evangelical Lutheran.
