I suspect that my 2gg Roswell Redfield may have been buried in the County Cemetery associated with the Asylum/Poor Farm sometime between 1870 and 1880. I've been unable to find his exact date of death but he was living in Empire, FDL on the 1870 US census. His name does not appear at all on the next census, whereas his wife Amy is listed on the 1880 census as widowed and living in a boarding house in LaSalle County, IL. It seems reasonable to conclude that Roswell died in the FDL area. I haven't been able to find him in any other local cemetery. I realize there are no headstones in the old County cemetery but somewhere there must be interment records? Were the graves relocated when the golf course was built? I'm an Illinois resident and would deeply appreciate referrals to any resources I can contact by email or research online. Thanks
