Ancestry/rootsweb member Nathan W. Murphy is not longer active and hasn't been for 5+ years.

Ancestry's messaging system introduced the member avatar in 2007, that's the little pic you see next to the user name, mine is in color. If there is no avatar, the member hasn't signed on to their account since the avatar was introduced.

If you're using the message boards from the rootsweb site, there are no avatars, however the name will not be hyperlinked (it should be blue with a line running under it) for those members who've not signed on to the site in 5 years.

This might help member understand why they're not getting responses from other members, and also to not respond to what is considered a "dead" thread.
