I am researching William M. Foster who served in Company C, 2nd Wisconsin Infantry Regiment (Iron Brigade) during the Civil War. On the Wisconsin Adj Generals Report it shows that he was from Lancaster TWP. He mustered in 20 MAY 1861 and was Discharged (Disability) 25 OCT 1862. He was wounded 28 AUG 1862 at Gainsville, VA. Pvt Foster is buried here in Colorado in Alma (aka: Buckskin) Cemetery, Alma, Park County, Colorado. I am still researching his dates. He has a military marker. If anyone could provide any information and sources in regards to this soldier, I would be greatful. Thank you for your time and consideration.
