PATRICK L. HENNESSEY, 55, Rt. 3, Dodgeville, died on Monday, August 7, 1989 at his home following a long and courageous battle with cancer. Mr. Hennessey was born in Dodgeville on May 16, 1934 to Leo and Leone (Bomkamp) Hennessey. He was married to the former Lorraine Schweitzer of mineral Point on March 3, 1962. Pat was in partnership with his father, Leo O. Hennessey & Sons Livestock and Trucking from 1951 to 1971. He continued as owner and operator until 1985 when he sold to F.D.L. Foods. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Dodgeville and the Knights of Columbus, Dodgeville Kiwanis Club, he was a director of the M & I Bank, Dodgeille, and was associated with the White Eagles of Highland. In 1985, he became a licensed real estate broker and fromed the Hennessey Real Estate Agency.
Survivors include his wife, Lorraine, Dodgeville; three daughters, Teresa, Holt, Michigan, Marcia, Cincinnati, Ohio and Heidi, Dodgeville; his father, Leo O. Hennessey, Dodgeville; one sister, Mrs. Ray (Marilyn) Pittz, Dodgeville; one brother, Bill (Beverly) Hennessey, Dodgeville; two nieces, Cathy Edwards and Chris Hennessey; and three nephews, Pat, Mike and Carl Pittz. He was preceded in death by his mothers, Leone G. Hennessey, on March 7, 1988.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 11 in St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Fr. Henry Kalscheuer and Fr. Lawrence Trainor will co-officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the Lullff-Peterson Funeral Home, Dodgeveille, on Thursday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. where a scripture service will be held at 8 p.m.
