SAXON CAGERS OPEN NOV. 14 Candidates Working Out Daily Under Coach Paul Santini. Saxon, Nov. 11 — Saxon's high school basketball team is practicing daily under the direction of Coach Paul Santini in preparation for its first game. The coach has about 15 boys out for basketball and much work is being done on fundamentals and toward getting a smooth offensive attack working. Several of the players show promise. Lettermen returning from last year's team are Russell Bluse and Kenneth Auger, guards; Robert LaBlanc, center; George Baker and Rodman Anderson, forwards. Robert LaBlanc, who last year played forward, has been shifted to center where his height will serve to an advantage. Others out for basketball and giving the lettermen keen competition for their positions are Clayton Bluse and Willard Dennis, guards; Robert Palmquist and Richard Swartz, centers; and Curtis Belanger, Arlie Hooper and Junior Page, forwards. The following is Saxon's basketball schedule for this season: (Opponents: Iron Belt, Hurley, Washburn, Ondossagon, Drummond, Bayfield and Iron River.)
