Surnames: KRUSE THOLEN THOELKIN TOLEN
Does anywone know if the Wisconsin KRUSE families are related to the Cass County, Illinois KRUSE families?
I am searching for Hie A. and Wibkie Tholen KRUSE. They came to America around 1849, but we cannot find them on the census for 1850. Some of the KRUSE families came landed in New Orleans, went to St. Louis where there was a Colera epidemic, then to Chicago and then to Franklin County, Wis, and then back to the Arenzville, Cass County area.
Hie and Wikie's children were sons: Adolph, Henry, and Phillip, and daughters: Anna, Catherine "Katie", and and Fredricka "Rickie".
I am trying to figure out if Hie & Wibkie followed the same route and exactly where in Hanover / Germany they came from. I know they were in Illinois and Kansas, but need to fill in the blanks between Germany and Illinois
