I have been finding more as well myself. I've also seen where the lines involving Milius (spelled a gazillion different ways), Kilmer and Pulver seem significant. I just haven't found anything hard and fast yet. It will take weeding through what's available for Columbia County and adjacent places to see if enough information can make anything reasonably conclusive.

I agree, this has been a puzzle as well, though further back for me than you. I was just happy to get past the brick wall of Eudora and Albert Clark. I didn't have a chance to calculate the timing of the marriage versus birth, but I was suspecting what you concluded below. I only threw in the annulment angle just to leave no stone unturned. I hope the divorce record is still around. That would really settle it.
