Was your Clayton Irick in Manitowoc in 1950?

Former Resident's
Death Reported
Samuel W. Irick, captain of the
Las Vegas police department and
former resident of Rhinelander
died of a heart attack last Feb. 19
it was reported today. Funeral services
were held in San Bernadino
Calif.
Mr. Irick was bom in Rhinelander
on May 5, 1895. After attending
schools here, he joined Company
L in 1917 and served overseas with
company headquarters. Upon leaving
the service in 1919, he attended
a government school in Milwaukee
before settling in California.
In 1940 Mr. Irick entered the Las
Vegas police department with the
rank of captain. He was a member
of the American Legion and the
Lions Club there.
He is survived by his wife,
Belle; one son, Clayton Irick of
Manitowoc; four brothers, James
and Harold Irick, both of Rhinelander,
and Walter and Claude
Irick, both of Wausau, and one sister,
Mrs. Peter Wiederman, of Rhinelander.

Here is Samuel's WWI registration- in 1917 he says he has a wife and one child, 4 years old
