Melida E. Golz, 101, formerly of 519 Humboldt Ave., died Wednesday, Dec. 9, 1998, at Colonial Manor Medical and Rehabilitation Center.
Melida was born Sept. 18, 1897, in town of Wausau, daughter of the late Albert and Martha (Marquardt) Luetschwager. She married Albert Golz on June 22, 1918, in Wausau. He preceded her death on March 8, 1986.
Survivors include two daughters, Irene (Leander) Schoepke, Wausau, and Carol Thomas, Minocqua; three grandchildren, Lee (Lynn) Schoepke, Wausau, Jeff (Margaret) Thomas, Atlanta, Ga., and Pam Thomas, Aurora, Colo.; three great-grandchildren, Nicole and Megan Schoepke, and Chelsea Thomas; and one sister, Dorothy (Aaron) Huettl, Wabeno.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Harvey Luetschwager Sr.; and two sisters, Esther Breitenbach and Ruth Bandy.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11, 1998, at St. Stephen Lutheran Church. Officiating will be the Rev. John Swensen. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. Helke Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
