Hello, my name is Andreas Remøyholm. And I come from a little place west in Norway, called Remøyholm. During a family come together we discussed about our ancestors. And one name came up, my great grandfathers brother who emigrated to United States and died there. I got curious and started digging.
He was born 28.03.1876 under the name Antoni Kornelius Andersen in Norway at the little placed called Remøyholm in Herøy, Møre og Romsdal. Here is some information: https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/N75Y-NJD
In 1900 Norway had a peoplecount where his family was written in under the name Andersen: http://digitalarkivet.no/cgi-win/webcens.exe?slag=visbase&am...
Here you can see his parents above, and my great grandfather under.
In 1901 he emigrated from Norway, then under the name Remøholm: http://digitalarkivet.no/cgi-win/webcens.exe?slag=visbase&am...
Then headed to Wisconsin. This is the last records I find of him here in Norway.
Then I found the passenger list when he came to bay in New York 1901. I have added the picture, and his name is on the bottom. But then again under a diffrent name Renneholm. I know names was very often mixed up in these times. But as the list suggest he was headed to Marinette, Wisconsin.
I wonder wether it is possible to find his death sertificate or something that can confirm that he arrived or that he lived there. After talking to my grandmother she said that they got a letter in 1951-52, that he died in America. But she dont remember much else.
I know this is a lot to ask, but I still think its worth a shot.
