Ronald E. “Feller” Wayka
Ronald E. “Feller” Wayka, 50, of Keshena, passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2008 in Green Bay.
Born on January 19, 1958 in Keshena, he was the son of the late Ernest and Louise (Waupoose) Wayka. Ronald lived most of his life in Neopit where he worked for many years for Menominee Tribal Enterprise. He also worked for Hanauer’s Tree Farm. Ronald enjoyed playing horseshoes, playing softball, riding in the woods, watching Packer games, playing Yahtzee, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Ronald is survived by: his children, Hayley Pyawasit of Neopit, Arlen Cox of Keshena; four grandchildren, Tyreese Wychesit, Elih Webster, Renita Webster, Arlen Cox, Jr.; four brothers, Curtis (special friend, Ona) Wayka of Keshena, Myron (Barb) Wayka of Neopit, Daniel (special friend, Irene) Wayka of Keshena, Richard Wayka of Neopit; and five sisters, Dorla Boivin of Neopit, Caroline (special friend, Sonny) Caldwell of Neopit, Deneane Madosh of Keshena, Deborah Wayka of Keshena, and Janel (special friend, Melvin Beauprey, Sr.) Wayka of Neopit.
Ronald was preceded in death by: his parents, Ernest and Louise Wayka; four brothers, Ernest Jr., Daryl, Marvin and John Wayka; one sister, Karen Wayka-Sackatook; and a special friend, Renita Pyawasit.
Funeral services will be held at 4 pm on Saturday, October 25, at the St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Neopit with the Rev. David Kiefer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Family and friends may call at the Dorla Boivin residence located at W6506 Wild Rice Court in Neopit after 6 pm on Thursday until the procession leaves for the church on Saturday. A Parish Wake Service will be held at the residence on Friday at 8 pm. Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano is assisting the family with the arrangements.www.swedbergfuneralhome.com
