OBITUARY EXTRACTION:

NAME & ADDRESS:
Mary W. Kaquatosh, age 81, of Neopit, passed away Friday, Sept. 7,2001, in Shawano.

BIRTH & PARENTS:
She was born June 11,1920, in Keshena, the daughter of the late James and Ann Davis (Shawanomitta) Waupekenay.

EARLY YEARS & MARRAGE:
She attended school at the Haskell Indian School and was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Neopit. She lived in the Neopit area most of her life and enjoyed sewing, fishing, cooking, and canning venison. On Feb. 26,1949, she was united in marriage to Mitchell Kaquatosh in Neopit. He preceded her in death on Aug. 11,1998.

SURVIVORS:
She is survived by: seven children, Emmett (Marcella) Kaquatosh, Keshena, Edward Kaquatosh, Neopit, Elizabeth Jimenez, Milwaukee, Richard Kaquatosh, Shawano, Gary
Kaquatosh, Neopit, Karen (Anderson) Ninham, Milwaukee, Annie (special friend, James Kast) Kaquatosh, Shawano; 23 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Christine Shegonee, Milwaukee.

PRECEDED BY:
She was preceded in death by three sons and a daughter-in-law.

FUNERAL SERVICES AND BURIAL:
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 11, at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Neopit with the Rev. David Kiefer officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Neopit Community Center after 2 p.m. today until the time of services on Tuesday. A parish wake service will be held on Monday at 8 p.m. at the center. Swedberg Funeral Home is serving the family.
