Albert R. Curry, age 82, of 5 Medicine Hat, Keshena, died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2000, at his home.
He was born Aug. 18, 1918, in Canada, the son of the late Rudolph and Effie (Cooper) Curry. He was employed by Uniroyal in Eau Claire until retiring in 1991. He lived in the Cadott area for over 30 years moving to Keshena two years ago. He was married on Oct. 19, 1963, to Rose Kaquatosh. He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Neopit. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by: his wife, Rose; two daughters, Wilma Jean (Walter) Gragert, Lake Placid, Fla., Cheryl (Thomas) Lindbo, Ft. Wayne, Ind.; four grandchildren, Robert Fjelstad, Eau Claire, Stacey (Mark) Schmitz, Sarona, Wis., Christine Lindbo, Eau Claire, Susan (Jerry) Oehler, Marshfield; five great-grandchildren, Mary and Johnny DeMars, both of Eau Claire, Hope and Tate Oehler, both of Marshfield, and Brook Schmitz, Sarona; one sister, Maryann Voldsness, Eau Claire; special friends, Carl and Crystal Kaquatosh, John and Alice Newton. He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 9, at 11 a.m., at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Neopit with Father David Kiefer officiating. Burial will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery. Friends may call at the Menominee Community Center after 2 p.m. today until the time of services on Saturday. There will be a parish wake service on Friday evening, Dec. 8, at 7:30. Swedberg Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
