"I am looking for information about the family of Karl Gottlob Roeber who immigrated to Milwaukee county in the late 1840's"

There are a handful of Roeber entries (about 25) in "Milwaukee's German Newspapers; an index of death notices and related items" (1844-1950). These include a Carl Roeber (d. 1907); and related to the other message in this thread, a Carl Roeber from Mequon who published notices to warn the public about a shoemaker named Mr. Zinke (1861). There's also a Roeber connection with Walsrode (near Hanover) Germany.
