There was more than one 19th c. St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Beginning with the first message, this thread concerns the church located on the north edge of downtown Milwaukee at 8th and Vliet St. Their cemetery still exists, but was absorbed by the current Union Cemetery. The original section/s are still visible at the south end of that property (main office at Graceland cem.).
Are you referring to the St. John Ev. Luth. Church located where the Milwaukee airport is now (south side of Milwaukee), and whose cemetery burials were moved?
