Good luck with that!!! I have been trying for years! Apparently at one time it was a Home. I had assumed it was an orphanage because the ancestor I was researching had lost her parents(so I thought at the time). I believe I was directed to a place in St. Louis,MO which I had e-mailed & called on several occasions to no avail.
What I DO know is that they were all female "inmates" , the rest were "sisters", two were hired man, one farm-hand & three other men bet. ages 22-24 was unable to read.
So either your gr-aunt was a Nun or she was an inmate.
again....good luck. Let me know if you find anything.
Bonnie
btw...my Lenora was age 14 in 1910 & I haven't been able to find anything about her in 10 years!!
