I am from the Knoells of Milwaukee County, Town of Franklin. Christopher Knoell Immigrated and settle there from Germany in 1826 or so. He homesteaded and lived there until his death in the late 1800's. His son, Valentine Knoell had around 12 kids, one of which, Christian Nicholas Knoell, b. 1863, moved out west in 1890. He settled in Hoquiam, WA until his death in 1930. Many of his siblings also migrated west and settled in Tacoma, WA.
