A Milwaukeean named T. G. Lehrner has their photo in the local German newspapers (1910s) as an employee of the long-gone Schuster's Dept. Store. Photos being as sought after as they are for family research, I've indexed these advertisements in "Milwaukee's German Newspapers; an index of death notices and related items" (1844-1950). But other than that Lehrner entry, I've indexed death notices for a Carolina Lerner, and listing of the divorce proceeding for a Leo & Pauline Lerner and the marriage of Slawa Lerner & Wolf Wigdor - there's all kinds of crazy stuff included in the index. It may be important to consider "Lehner" as a misspelling in your search through 19th & early 20th c. firstname.lastname@example.org
