Looking for possible family connection. Recent visit to Horitchon (Burgenland province) Austria revealed that Paula nee. LEHRNER married in Wisconsin to MICHOLASCHEK (sp? and unsure if last name correct). Moved to US (Wisconsin) in 1927. Paula’s sister was Josephine nee. LEHRNER. Paula and Josephine’s father was Paul LEHRNER of Horitschon, Austria.

I have seen Paula’s wedding picture. She had dark brown hair. Her sister, Josephine LEHRNER (possibly married and not using LEHRNER?), had platinum blond hair in the photo.

LEHRNER’s come from Horitschon, also know in Hungarian as Haracsony. The Burgenland region went between Austria and Hungary, so nationality may be confusing on documents.

Please contact me with any information. LEHRNER is a unique last name to just this town in Austria. The last name is pronounced “learner” and has also be spelled on immigration documents as LEHNER, LERNER, LEARNER.
