Milwaukee's German newspapers: Jacob Schwaab, d. 1888

Mr. Jacob Schwaab, an old citizen and business man on the southside, died yesterday morning at the age of 58 years. Mr. Schwaab was born on October 28, 1830 in Frankenthal, Bavaria; in 1853 came to America. After 8 years in New York, he came to Milwaukee and founded a furniture business. In recent years Mr. Schwaab lived the retired life in St. Francis and leaves a wife and five adult children. The funeral will take place tomorrow morning from the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Bay View.
