I am looking for help in determining if Ed or Edward Whitney and his son Harold died at Rhinelander between 1912 and 1920. The family is in the 1910 US Census at Rhinelander, Ward 4, Sheet 12A family 786/790. I am related to Ed's wife Ethel; their marriage is in the Wisconsin VR Index online; Edward Whitney married Grace Ethel Briggs on 17 June 1907 at Oneida County. In about 1913, Ethel gave birth to their second child, Helen. Ed is listed in the 1912-1913 Rhinelander City Directory. In the 1920 US Census daughter Helen is living with her maternal grandparents, Daniel Edward (D.E.) Briggs and his wife Lula, at Spearfish, Lawrence Co., South Dakota.

I do not know what happened to Ed's wife Ethel although it appears that Ethel as "Mrs. Ethel Brown" may be living with her mother in Los Angeles, LA Co., CA in 1944; the mother Lula died in Dec 1947 in LA Co., CA.

Obituaries and/or cemetery records would be greatly appreciated.

If someone in Oneida Co. needs some research in Connecticut or at the NEHGS in Boston, MA, I would be happy to oblige.
