I saw your old post regarding Courtney's in New York and Wisconsin. I noticed one of the Census records regarding Dennis Courtney with a son named Edmond. I was wondering if you ever prooved that they are part of your Courtey line? I'm married into a Courtney family in Wisconsin. My husband's gr-gr-grandfather's name is Edmond Courtney b-1832, Ireland. I can't find any thing on my Edmond being married to Mary Madigan in New York, Mass. or New Hampshire, which the family claims they came to Wisconsin from New Hampshire. According to a Census record, their 2 oldest children were born in New York, but I can't find any records. I've been in contract with a member of the family of one of the Humphrey Courtney's and he said that his Humphrey had a brother named Edmond but the family lost track of their Edmond back in the 1850's. The first record I have of my Edmond in Wisconsin was in 1858 when his 3rd child was born.
