In my tree is a Paul Fred Schimmelpfennig, b 22 Mar 1876, who married my grandmother's sister Olga Becker in Feb 1904. Olga died in May 1904.

Is there any connection to the other Schimmelpfennigs in WI?

To my knowledge, my father Morris Ninham did not have a brother named Amos. His brothers (chronological order to best of my knowledge): Wilson, Guy, Luther, Benjamin, and Joseph. Two sisters were Pearl & Josephine.
Family myth/history: there may have been an oldest brother who left home at an early age and lived in Oklahoma.

I believe I found Israel & Mary in the 1871 Ontario, Canada census. I found them on familysearch.org. But some of the family were indexed together, and some of the family were indexed separately. No image available. Israel, and 2 children Martha & Edward were indexed together, Mary, and son Alfred were indexed separately. 3 other children, George, Joseph & Caroline were indexed together. The family lived in Nottwasaga, Simcoe County, Ontario. Nottwasaga seems to be indexed wrong in 1871, as the real name in 1861 was Nottawasaga. Anyway, if you follow the House number of 145, and the Family number of 148, you will see that all these persons lived in the same house. Israel line 1, Mary line 2, Martha line 3, George line 4, Edward line 5, Joseph line 6, Alfred line 7, and Caroline line 8.

George, Joseph, Alfred, & Caroline fit the 1880 census for Seymour, Outagamie, Wisconsin with Israel & 2nd wife Emma, and the other children born in Wisconsin.

I found the marriage of Israel & 2nd wife Emma. Israel's parents were Joseph T. Bowerman & Abigail L. Bowerman. I didn't look for Joseph & Abigail in 1871, but did find them in 1861 Nottawasaga Twp, Simcoe County census, with what seems to be their other children, Richard, Mary, John, Joseph, Francis, and Millecent. Brothers & sisters to Israel.

Israel, Mary, and children were not in Nottawasaga in 1861, but did seem to find them in Osprey, Grey County, Ontario, Canada, indexed under Bouerman. Again they were indexed separately, but looking at the sheet number and line, the following were...Israel, line 8, Mary, line 9, Martha line 10, Franklin line 11, and James line 12. Franklin may have been George F. in the 1880 census. James may have been another son who died.

So, maybe you could try to find a marriage record for Israel & Mary in Grey or Simcoe County, Ontario Canada.

I am looking for information on Mary Foster Bowerman b 1839 , 1st wife of Israel J. Bowerman family of Outagamie Co.,

This family came from Canada with 7 children, William W. Bowerman was the last son. He was born in Wisconsin.

Mary died in 1879, Shiocton, Bovina, Outagamie Co.

I can't find any birth, parents of Mary. Mary and Israel also had a son, Edward Bowerman, he started the Shiocton Telephone Co.

I am researching the family of John and Sophia (Burmeister) Mueller of Black Creek, WI., Don't know John's family but he was from Hessen Darmstadt, Ger., and was a carpenter. Sophia's family was from Mecklenburg. Parents were John and Mary (Hocter) Burmeister. Are you familiar with any of these names. John and Sophia's children were adopted and I am still looking for the oldest: Wilhelm Mueller, b. 1867; John b. 1872 (both at Meck.) I have found dau. Minna Burmeister Ehlers, but still looking for George b. 3/2/1879 at WI, and have found my grandfather Henrich Wilhelm Mueller. Any help is appreciated.

After exhausting online sources, I still need a death date for Sarah C (or E) BROWN. Findagrave has her born in 1848 and died in 1913. She is buried in Union Cemetery in Hortonville and was married to Martin T. Brown. Believe her maiden name was YOUNG. It is likely that she died in Hortonville. Need death date to order obituary.

It seems like Benjamin & Jacoba started out in Fond du Lac County. They may have a church marriage record in Alto or Waupun. Jacoba's maiden name seems to be Moor. Here is what I found.

Jacoba married Evert Soerens on July 26, 1904 in Sheboygan County. I couldn't find the record on familysearch.org, so you would have to get a copy from the county.

Here is the information of Nicholas Goerling's first family, and wife Henriette Kickbush. This marriage record seems to have the same parents for Nicholas as was in his marriage to Augusta Wehlitz.
Nicholas may have been in the Northern Hospital for Insane, in Winnebago County in 1900, and may have died there 20 Aug 1900.

Hi again, I found more information. Besides Martha's 4 siblings, Gertrude, Nicholas, Leona, and Laura, I found 2 more. Anna M., and Eleanor/Ella/Elouise, who died at age of about 2. Leona married a Cromwell, and eventually went to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Nicholas married Sophia Monian, and moved to Monterey, California, where he died in 1956. They had 3 known children, Eugenia, Barbara, and Ruth. Ruth married a Gordon and died in 1982.

If I am right, Their mother, Augusta (Wehlitz) Goerling was put in an asylum in Marathon County, and has been there since at least 1910 until 1930. I couldn't find her in the 1900 & 1905 census yet. I didn't find her in 1940 census, ao maybe she died by then.

Their father Nicholas Goerling, seems to have been married once before to Henriette Kickenbush, and had at least 6 children with her, John, Carl, Peter, Joseph, Ida & Louis. These would be Martha's half siblings. See next post for this family....

Hi again, this seems to be Martha, and her 4 siblings, Gertrude, Nicholas, Leona, and Laura.

Martha was adopted by Herman and Anna Kriescher, who lived in Preble, Brown County. Before that, Martha and her siblings were living at the St Joseph's Orphan Asylum in Allouez, Brown County.......the marrige record for Martha and Louis is most likely in Brown County in Green Bay.

In a Google search for "Eggleston McGee Outagamie," I came across a web page for the "Gleanings" of the Fox Valley Genealogical Society. In the "E" and "M" listings, there are entries for Sarah Maria Eggleston and James Edwin McGee, who were married on 2 July 1865, according to an article or notice published in the Appleton Crescent (one of the forerunners of today's Appleton Post-Crescent) on 8 July 1865.

Knowing when and where the marriage took place should make it easier to obtain a copy of the original marriage record via the Outagamie County Register of Deeds office. The Appleton Public Library can also provide you with a copy of the 1865 newspaper item.
