I don't know if it will help, but the Wisconsin state census (1855, 1875, 1885, 1895, and 1905) is available on the following free site. The easiest way to get there is click the "browse collections" link, then click on North America, and scroll down to Wisconsin:

I also notice that NewspaperARCHIVE.com (paid site) has the Sheboygan Press newspaper, and others from the area, ranging from 1852 to 1960. Here is one short article I transcribed from that source:

Sheboygan Press, The - Sheboygan, Wisconsin
Friday 29 January 1932 - Page 6

"LOCAL NEWS"
"Nicholas Thennes, pioneer of town Grafton and who was 91 years old, passed away Tuesday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Charles Tillmann at Grafton. Among the surviving children are Mrs. Emil Kessler, Saukville, Mrs. Charles Tillmann, Grafton, and Mrs. John Kohn, Manitowoc. The funeral was held at Grafton today."

I've noticed on this site that partial spellings and even misspellings are helpful, as their "optical character recognitions" software sometimes reads words incorrectly - especially if they were hyphenated to fit a column.
