I have recently located Josephine LaPean Patraw/Patrow living with her son and daughter in law in Durand, Pepin Cty as of the 1940 census. I have still not found any info on her death or burial. I have also found her husband Filmore Patraw was struck by ligthning about 1917 in Two Rivers, WI as per his obit but can't find newspaper article. Josephine's sister Melinda LaPean Rohde died in Two Rivers 1946 and brother John died in Two Rivers 1944 and brother Henry died in Two Rivers 1930. I live in Arkansas and don't get back to WI to often so if you can help I would greatly appreciate it.
I am also a decendent of the Patraw family from Pepin Cty back to Quebec. My great great garndfather was George son of Charles. George fathered Filmore who married Josephine LaPine and they bore my grandfather Irvin who married Edna bore my father Gerald and then divorced. My father was adopted by Ray Handy. And so on. I have conflicting census data about Josephine. I have Wisconsin 1905 census stating she lived in Marinette, the 1900 doesn't show her anywhere nor does the 1910 and 1920 census. Filmore passed away 1928 in Marinette, WI. Can anyone help find Josephine?

I have a gr grandfather that is supposed to be buried there in 1882, and many years ago we were there but couldn't find a grave marker. Would like to get an obit or burial record if there happens to be any. His name was Eric Sandberg. His wifes name was Louisa Sandberg. They must have lived in that area some place.
I can assure you that there is absolutely no connection between the Thomas Moore you say was born at Southwell, Nottinghamshire, in 1574 and the family/descendants of Sir Thomas More (not Moore). This is a pure fiction.
I believe you (and others) have somewhere along the line misread Southwell, Nottinghamshire, for Southwold, Suffolk. This is the town from where the Thomas Moore related to the Youngs family emigrated to America.
Thomas Moore's birth date is a guess, lacking any documentary evidence.

There must be. Based on what Michelle first posted about Ida's funeral it states that Grace Pomasl attended and was at the home of Matt Pomasl so they must be related I'm just wondering how.

I note you are in the "Edwin" camp. Do you have documentation for this version? My family seems to have thought it was Edward. Any help you could give to help clarify this would be appreciated.

Wisconsinhistory.org: 11 Sept 1895 Ethel "Chaffey" married Arthur M "Whinney" Eau Claire. Go to "research" then, Wisconsin Genealogy Index. Record can be purchased.

Could not find Ethel in the newspaper archives of the University of Wisconsin Stout Library, but did see her sister and Jesse Patrow. They usually provide copies of articles for free unless you have a large order. Both spellings of Chaffee/Chaffey.

Hi Thomas, Nice to hear from you. I don't have either a Lyndon or Malgeria as children of Minnie and Albert Farrington. What years and where would they have been born?
In my records, Minnie and Albert did have a daughter, Margery G. Farrington. Also Minnie and Albert had a son named Albert. But knowing the approx. birth year would help to narrow it down.
gail
gfin@telus.net

Hi, My name is Thomas Farrington who is the son of Lyndon Farrington. I believe Minnie and Albert Farrington are my grandparents. According to my research there was a daughter named Malgeria. I would like any information you may have on them. Thanks, Tom

I am searching for information regarding a Bessie Cowles as my son-in -laws recently lost their father and his mother's name was Bessie Cowles. Very little is known by them about her and I have been searching Ancestry.com for census records and only came up with one where she was 10 years old and was living with people by the name of William and Mary Day in 1900. She was their niece according to the record. She married a Vernon Robinson.
Any information about her or anyone by the name of Fish or Stoops would be helpful...I am trying to do their family tree and I am stuck! The boys are very interested in their family and I am under the impression that they no very little about it.
Thank you so much for helping me do this for them!!
Sincerely,
Bonnie

Thank you, very much!

I do have the book that Gert wrote with family stories, et cetera, but you have much more! Thank you for your hard work. It is greatly appreciated.

If you would like the list of descendants of Harland Hartung, just let me know. I would be able to provide that to you, as well as some additional Hartung ancestry.

-Megan

Hi! I am not sure you are still viewing this post. Its been a few years. My grandmother is Lila Lavina Holden, Daughter of Clara Thompson. HOpe you can help with a question. Why do you believe that William Thompson was from Mass.? Someone had posted that William Thompson in this line was from Virginia. But I can't really see how that Wm. is connected.
Thanks!
Valerie
