Mrs. Theressa A. Bacon died at the home of Mr. and Mrs. P.T. Thomsen, July 26, 1898 age 78 years 7 months. She was the youngest daughter of William and Amelia Chaberlain and was born near Wilmington, Indiana December 17, 1819. She was married in August 1830 to O. P. Stuck and became the mother of three children, of only one, Mrs. Susie Cummings, of Kokomo, Indiana, survives her. She was again married to E. G. Bacon August 10, 1851 and came to Wisconsin in 1866. Th them were born three children. William died in infancy. J.W. Was thrown form a horse and killed July 31, 1881 O.H. died June 26, 1896. She was converted at a Methodist camp meeting and had lived a Christian life for over forty years and joined the Baptist church since coming to Wisconsin. She was a mother and fried to everyone and tried to do her duty in every way and will be greatly missed in the community in which she lived. She had expressed a wish to go and felt that she was called. She was a patient sufferer. The funeral was held from the M. E. Church at ten o'clock A.M. Thursday, Rev. George Derby conducting the services.
