Obit for Johanna PRAIS URBANOWSKI - Stevens Point Daily Journal December 13, 1972
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St Stanislaus' Catholic Church for Mrs John URBANOWSKI. The Rev. Francis Piekarski will officiate. Burial will be in the spring in St Peter's cemetery. Visitation will be held after 4 pm today at the Shuda Funeral Chapel, where the Rosary society of St Stanislaus' Church will recite a rosary at 7:30 tonight. A general rosary will be said at 8o'clock.
Mrs URBANOWSKI died at 4 am Tuesday in the Portage County Home, where she had resided for the past year. The former Johanna PRAIS was born May 16, 188 in St Point, a daughter of Mr and Mrs Joseph PRAIS. She attended St Peter's Grade School and worked as a clerk in the PRAIS Paint and Paper Store until her marriage. She married John URBANOWSKI on May 4, 1915 in St Peter's Church.
Her husband was a cigar maker and later was employed as a custodian by St Point University. Mrs URBANOWSKI is survived by two daughters, Mrs James (Lorraine) QUINN, Calumet Park, IL, and Mrs Adrian (Romona) MANN, Danbury; two sons, Ralph URBAN, San Mateo, CA, and Edward URBANOWSKI, Milwaukee, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Mrs URBANOWSKI was a member of the Rosary society of St Stanislaus'Catholic church Rose No. 14.
