"... In 1875 Frank Buff/Puff, carriage maker, married Louisa Arnold, daughter of Charles and Sybilla Arnold, ... Frank J. Buff also died in 1894 and Louisa remarried to Adolf Lauersdorf, and they had a son Arnold who was later the proprietor of a garage and car dealership in Milwaukee ..."

The family published death notices in local German papers for Frank Buff. There are also some entries for the name "Puff" in these papers.

Indexing of these papers started in 2007 and continues today: "Milwaukee's German Newspapers; an index of death notices and related items" (1844-1950).
