I live in South Brazil, in Canela, some 70 miles from where
Paulus Funk settled in 1856, when he came from Eisenach. (Check Google Earth) I have a picture of his house in Eisenach (now being torn down or about to be torn down, too bad) which I can send you if you email me. My genealogical research involves Paulus' descendents, not necessarily his ascendants, but I promise to send you the list of Paulus' siblings. Only one of his sisters. Apolonia, has now descendants in Germany, but I don't know very well where. Do keep in touch. Elvio
