Classification: Query
Surnames: SCHNEIDER SNYDER
The families of Schneider/Snyder also settled in the Franklin, St. Martins are in Milwaukee County. One of the earlier settlers was John Schneider born 1831 in Bavaria. He was on the ship, "Andrew Foster" out of Liverpool, England on May 8, 1854 along with many other residents of Franklin. John was listed as a carpenter. He married Catherine Reinwant and they had three children that I know of: Catherine who married 5 Oct. 1897 to John Gimler, George born 11 March 1880 and Rose who married 27 NOv. 1900 to Paul Gunkel. You will find somoe or your Schneiders and Schroeders buried in the Rural Home Cemetery located in Big Bend. Also want to mention that there were many Snyders in the Franklin area and they also used the spelling of Schneider so search under both names.
