Mrs. Berendt Dies in County Hospital
Mrs. Louise Berendt, 79, died at the county hospital at 7 a.m. Friday. Before her marriage she was Luise Beyers and was born in Germany, Oct. 9, 1847. She was married in Germany and came to this country with her husband in 1884 settling in Organville, Ill. For the last 25 years she lived with her children, her husband having died in 1904.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Henry Smith, Janesville, and Mrs. Amelia Kahn, Lone Rock, ??(maybe IA, hard to read), three sons, August, Los Angeles, Frank; Rockford; and Will, Janesville and by 10 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, in the Whaley funeral home, the Rev. a. C. Zellinger, St. John's Luthern church, officiating. Burial will be in Basswood demetery near Orangeville,Ill.
