A Sad Return
Mrs. A. A. Barnes returned from Kansas City, Mo., on the 9:20 train last evening with the remains of her niece, Mrs. Ella Gaffina. Mrs. Helen Dedrick, of Magnolia, who died several years ago, was the mother of Mrs. Gaffina, and the Austins of this city are relatives. The funeral will be held at 10 o'clock this morning from the residence of Mr. G. H. Austin and the remains taken to the Magnolia cemetery and there find a last resting place by the side of the mother. A number of sympathizing friends met the sad cortege at the depot and Rev. W. W. Stevens, resident pastor of the M. E. church will perform the last sad rites over the remains. The deceased was 37 years of age and died from an operation for a chronic complaint.
