Elleda Mathilde Stokke Lynts, age 101, died Friday, January 4, 2002 at Edgerton Memorial Hospital Long Term Care. Elleda was born April 29, 1900 in Christiana Township (Utica) Dane County, WI the daughter of John and Marie (Furseth) Stokke. She graduated from Stoughton High School and married George Edward Lynts on Aprial 21,1924 in Freeport, IL. They celebrated 70 years of marriage. Elleda was a member of the Congregational United Church of Christ, and original meber of the church's "peanut group", a member of Pythian Sisters, and several bridge clubs.
She had sis sisters and four brothers and was the last surviving member of the family. Most of her brothers and sisters lived in Dane, Rock and Jefferson Counties.
Surviving are two sons, Paul Lynts and George W. (Joan) Lynts; daughter , Barbara (Richard) Pierce; four grandchildren, Sharolyn Herring, Richard A. (Margaret) Pierce, Elizabeth P. (Robert) Thompson; two step-grandsons, Richard (Jackie) Ruble, Fred (Martha) Ruble; great grandchildren, Sarah Thompson, Douglas Thompson, Jaron Herring, Callie Herring, Trent Herring, Daniel R. Pierce, Gregory P.L. Pierce, Henry T. Pierce, Timothy L. Pierce, CArrie Ruble, Daniel Ruble, James Ruble, Laura Ruble, Jaffanie Ruble and Bryant Ruble; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brotheres, sisters, graddaughter, Margaret Lynts and great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Pierce. (contd)
