After mustering out of the 3rd Ohio Infantry, Adin BURT (born 1842 in Cardington, Morrow County Ohio) became a "buyer of hides" and settled in Loganville, Sauk County (1864) near his grandparents Adin and Judith Brockway TUCKER. In 1865 he was married by minister John DEARHOLT (who had traveled with the Tuckers from Morrow County) to Almira BURNHAM, daughter of James Burnham and Rebecca BROWN, in Loganville. Two children were born to Adin and Almira in Sauk County: Marvin (1865) and Marion George Burt (1867).
James BURNHAM, father of Almira, was born 1820 in Canada or England. He entered the U.S. at Detroit in 1859 and settled in Sauk, where he made a Declaration of Intent 21 August 1861. His wife was Rebecca Brown, about whom I know nothing more. They had two daughters: Rebecca b 1845 and Crycinna b. 1848.Crycinna married Joseph C. Rebety 1864 in Ironton, Sauk. James married a second time to Margaret A. Cunningham and had James (1853), Daniel (1855), and Emil (?), 1857. Seeking other researchers
