Lloyd Edmund Slayton

Lloyd Edmund Slayton of Exeland died Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2010 at Part Manor Nursing Home in Park Falls.
He was born on Sept. 18, 1935 in Stone Lake, the son of Albert Vernon and Helen Ethel (Claudy) Slatyton. His early life and schooling were in Stone Lake. Lloyd was a took and die maker, a manager of a cranberry marsh and was a logger. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, wood working, gardening, and the outdoors.
He is survived by four children, Gerald (Debbie)Slayton of Exeland, Joyce (Dale) Lester of Mackey Valley, Dale (Donna) Slayton of Kentucky and Theresa (Tony) Merrill of Cable; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; seven brothers and sisters, Carol (Ronald) Melton of Stone Lake, Shirley Hegeboom of Spooner, Albert (Denise) Slayton Jr. of Milwaukee, Mitch (Sue) Slayton of Exeland, Russell (Donna) Slayton of Radisson, Sherry (Brian) Harshman of Elk Mound, and Tammy (Patrick "Gus") Houtman of Milwaukee and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his former wife, Park, and his son Lloyd Guy Slayton.
Funeral: A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Stone Lake.
The Novitzke Funeral Home in Park Falls is assisting the family with arrangements.
