Died in this city Friday night, March 29, 1901 of consumption, Mrs. Hilda Lee, wife of John Lee, Jr. aged 29 years.
Mrs. Lee's illness was of a short duration. She had lived in robust health up to last December, when she was taken ill, and her trouble soon developed into consumption from which disease she died on the date above mentioned. She was taken to Eau Claire by her husband in February, hoping that her condition might be improved, but the disease had so thoroughly seated that help of a medical nature was out of the question, so she was brought home and made comfortable as possible until she died.
Mrs. Lee was much thought of by her relatives and her untimely death is regretted by the community.
She leaves to mourn her untimely loss a husband, one son aged 2 years old, and a baby girl 3 1/2 months old. The funeral took place from the Scandanavian Lutheran Church Monday afternoon and was attended by a large group of sympathizing friends. Rev. J.E. Nord of Rice Lake officiated. The Trillengen lodge, of which Mr. Lee is a member, attended the services in a body. The Lutheran Aid Society also contributed much assistance in conducting the last sad rites of its esteemed member.
